Jewish Worship at Temple Beth Tikvah

hannukahOur temple family worships every Friday evening throughout the year, using the Reform Siddur, Gates of Prayer.  An Oneg Shabbat follows each service to provide time for fellowship and socializing.Services are observed for the Jewish holidays, including the High Holidays, Chanukah, Purim and Passover. Yom Kippur concludes with a traditional "break-the-fast" sponsored by our Temple Sisterhood.  We also celebrate seasonally with family Chanukah services and a children's model Seder. We sometimes join withour sister congregation in Clear Lake and worship at Thanksgiving and/or Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day).

Shabbat Services:

Shabbat evening services with Oneg Shabbat:    On the 1st Friday of the month, we often have a 6:30 p.m. service followed by a potluck dinner at 7:30 p.m. On the 2nd Friday of the month, we often have a "Friday Night Chai" service with music and singing at 7:30 p.m. On the remaining Fridays, we normally have a 7:30 p.m. service. See our current monthly calendar for the exact schedule.

shabbat candlesJewish Meditation:

We are meeting on the fourth Friday of every month at 7 pm, for a ½ hour before Friday night services. We are exploring what meditation can mean for our own personal growth and as an enrichment of spiritual community at TBT.  Additional meetings can be scheduled if people express a desire to Max or Rabbi Schloss. It‟s an opportunity to learn what meditation can mean for you as a Jew and for your relation to the divine.
